A Kenyan notorious lawyer Robert Langat has been charged with defrauding Kingdom Securities company shares worth over Sh 23.6 million.
Popularly known as Lawyer Robert Langat was charged before Milimani principal magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot where he denied the charges.
The advocate also faces another charge of forging a certificate of confirmation of a grant purporting to be a genuine grant issued and signed by Justice Aggrey Muchelule of Milimani High Court, Nairobi county contrary to the law.
The accused person is said to have committed the offense on diverse dates between July 19, 2014 and April 4, 2017, at the High Court of Kenya Milimani, Nairobi county, the accused accused jointly with others not before the court conspired to defraud the Kingdom.

The court heard that the Securities Ltd shares worth Sh 23,697,131.15 from the account of the same company.
The court further heard that on an unknown date and place Langat with the intent to defraud jointly others not before the court forged a document namely a certificate of confirmation of grant purporting it to be a genuine grant issued and signed by Justice Agrey Muchelule.
He was released on a bond of Sh 1 million or cash bail of Sh 500,000 pending the hearing of the case on July 11.
