Editorial Standards & Guidelines

Our commitment to fair, accurate, and responsible legal journalism

At Law Spectacle, we are committed to providing fair, accurate, and objective legal reporting. Our editorial process is guided by professional journalistic principles similar to those followed by established news organizations in Kenya.

Accuracy First

Accuracy is the foundation of our work. We verify all court details, case numbers, party names, and legal citations using official judiciary records, court cause lists, charge sheets, rulings, and other primary sources before publication.

Impartiality

We report on legal proceedings without bias. Law Spectacle does not take sides in ongoing cases. Our role is to inform the public, not to influence judicial outcomes or public opinion.

Presumption of Innocence

In accordance with Kenyan law and constitutional principles, all individuals mentioned in criminal, civil, or fraud-related reports are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

We strictly use terms such as “alleged”, “suspect”, or “accused” unless and until a final judicial determination is made.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial content is independent of commercial, political, or personal interests. We do not allow advertisers, sponsors, or external parties to influence factual reporting.

Sponsored content, paid partnerships, or opinion pieces are clearly labeled to distinguish them from factual news reporting.

Accountability & Corrections

We take responsibility for our work. If an error is identified, we correct it promptly and transparently.

Readers who believe an article contains an error or requires clarification may contact our editorial team at: editor@lawspectacle.com

These editorial standards exist to protect the integrity of legal reporting and to ensure that Law Spectacle remains a trusted source of judicial information for the public.

Law Spectacle provides verified reporting on Kenya’s judiciary. We bridge the gap between complex legal proceedings and public understanding, focusing on transparency and fraud prevention.
